Erickson Davis Gallery
Richard Davis working on
TREE of HOPE in his studio.

The Erickson Davis Gallery held the exhibition
"pARTners for HOPE" in 2006.
Purchases benefited Middlesex Hospital Cancer
Center Community Outreach Fund.

Another project that arose from this endeavor was the TREE OF HOPE.
Patrons procured “leaves” with their inscriptions engraved upon them.

Davis proceeded to hand carve the “Tree” and make and engrave each copper leaf.
He also constructed a cherrywood display cabinet.
The project, as a whole, taking more than a year to complete.

He did this in gratitude to the fine doctors and staff who enabled him to "carry on" for a good many more years.

The Tree of Hope is on permanent display in the lobby of the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center in Middletown, Connecticut.
